1. Who we are
Ride-In-Sight is provided by RIS TECHNOLOGIES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17524939 ("RiS Technologies Ltd", "we", "us"). Our registered office is 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at support@rideinsight.app or by phone on +44 7340 594844. We develop the Ride-In-Sight apps and sell them on Google Play. On the App Store, the iPhone app is currently published under our founder's individual developer account while it moves to our company account; these terms and our Privacy Policy apply to it in the same way. These terms are between you and us.
2. Who can use Ride-In-Sight
Ride-In-Sight is a tool for people who drive or deliver for ride-hail and delivery platforms. Using those platforms is subject to their own eligibility rules. Ride-In-Sight is not directed at children. It is available in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. You need an account, which you create in the Android app or on our website; the iPhone app signs in to an existing account. Keep the email address on your account secure, because we sign you in through it, and give us accurate details.
3. What Ride-In-Sight does, and what it does not do
- Ride-In-Sight reads ride offers shown by supported driver apps on your phone and gives you its own assessment of each offer, such as earnings per mile and per hour and a rating.
- Assessments are estimates from the offer as shown to you. They are not confirmed earnings, and they do not guarantee any income. Whether to accept an offer is always your decision; Ride-In-Sight never accepts or declines an offer for you and never taps or types in another app.
- Do not handle your phone while driving. Use Ride-In-Sight only when it is safe and legal to do so.
4. Plans: Lite and Pro
- Lite is free. It includes a limited number of live offer checks each day; the number is shown in the app and resets at 00:00 GMT.
- Pro is a paid subscription with unlimited live offer checks. It is offered weekly, monthly or yearly. What Pro includes, its price and its period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
- Welcome Week. The first time you sign in to a Ride-In-Sight app on a phone registered to your account, we add seven days of Pro to your account free of charge. Welcome Week is given once per account, whichever app or phones you use. If you already have Pro, the seven days are added after your current Pro period. It is not a store subscription or a free trial: nothing renews and you are not charged when it ends, and your plan returns to Lite unless you have other Pro access.
- Second-phone week. The first time a phone with the other operating system is registered to your account (for example an iPhone when you started on Android), we also give you, once per account, seven days in which Pro works on both phones. After those seven days, your plan covers your original type of phone again. It is not given if your plan already covers both.
- Some features, such as Intelligence, are not available to every member and may be added, changed or withdrawn.
5. Subscriptions: payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds
Pro is sold in the apps through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). The store takes the payment, and its own terms also apply to your purchase. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled through the store you bought from, as set out below. We do not currently sell subscriptions on our website.
App Store (iPhone)
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal up to 24 hours before the new period starts.
- Cancel or change your plan at any time in the app (Manage subscription), or in your iPhone's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
Google Play (Android)
- Payment is taken by Google Play when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel. Google may charge the renewal up to 24 hours before the new period starts.
- Cancel at any time in the app (Manage subscription), or in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies; request one in Google Play. You can also contact us at support@rideinsight.app. We look at every request. We do not normally refund part of a period after you cancel, but this does not affect your legal rights.
For both stores
- There are currently no free trials or introductory prices on store subscriptions. Welcome Week (section 4) is separate from the stores and is not a store trial.
- You can have only one active store subscription at a time: while one is active, the app does not sell you another through the other store.
- Family Sharing does not apply to Ride-In-Sight Pro.
- Price changes. We may change Pro prices, for example because of changes in our costs, in taxes, or in what Pro includes. The store tells you before a higher price applies and, where its rules require, asks you to agree; if you do not, the subscription ends at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Your legal rights. Whether you can cancel a purchase and get a refund depends on your country and the store you bought from. Ask that store. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights if Pro is faulty or not as described.
- Closing your Ride-In-Sight account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
6. Points and referrals
- You earn points for things the app describes, such as referring other drivers who qualify.
- Points have no cash value. Points can currently be redeemed for Pro access. Available rewards and redemption terms are shown in RiS.
- We may correct or remove points awarded by mistake or obtained by misuse of the referral programme, such as referring yourself or fake accounts.
- Points end when your account is deleted. Records of your points and referrals are kept in pseudonymised form, as our Privacy Policy explains.
7. Using Ride-In-Sight fairly
Do not misuse Ride-In-Sight: do not try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, copy or reverse engineer it except where the law allows, use it to break the law or anyone else's rights, share your account, or abuse the referral programme. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we tell you why unless the law or security prevents us.
8. Your licence to use the apps
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the apps on devices you own or control, for your own driving. Ride-In-Sight, its software, its ratings and its content belong to us or our licensors.
9. Changes to Ride-In-Sight and to these terms
We improve Ride-In-Sight and may change or withdraw features. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Ride-In-Sight, cancel your subscription and close your account.
10. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time: in the app, on our website or by email. You have 30 days to change your mind; after that it is deleted as described on Delete your Ride-In-Sight account.
11. Our responsibility to you
We provide Ride-In-Sight with reasonable care and skill. Offer readings and assessments depend on what the driver apps show and can occasionally be wrong or unavailable, so check the offer in the driver app before you accept it.
We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by events outside our control, or for loss of business income or profit where you use Ride-In-Sight for your business. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for Pro through the App Store or Google Play in the 12 months before the event concerned.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. If you downloaded the app from the App Store
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app, its content, maintenance and support, and for any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. On the App Store, the provider shown for the app is the developer account it is published under. Until our move to our company account is complete, that is our founder, who publishes it for us.
- Your use of the iPhone app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and the App Store's Usage Rules.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
If you have a complaint, email support@rideinsight.app first; we aim to resolve it within 30 days.
